Summary:
The Bartender provides ultimate hospitality for guests in a casino environment while ensuring all laws and regulations with respect to the safe and responsible service of alcoholic beverages are strictly adhered to.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAnswers menu questions posed by guests.
Maintains knowledge of beverages and any food offerings or special menu items offered.
Keeps current with all market trends and product knowledge; and able to execute both classic and modern spirituous beverage preparation techniques.
Responsible for ensuring a consistent flow of services to guest, servers and food servers.
Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing their areas to create a safe and sanitary environment for internal and external guests.
Upsells to premium offerings of wine, beer and spirituous liquors.
Observes guest behavior and cues that could indicate obvious signs of intoxication.
Anticipates guest needs and completes all steps of service as assigned, uses guest names during interactions.
Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to casino guests while communicating in a clear and concise manner.
Accurately records all sales in the POS system.
Ensures food items are picked up and served immediately upon availability from the kitchen, bar, or other, as ordered by the guest.
Ensures the quality and presentation meet or exceed the expectations of the guests.
Ensures that ashtrays are clean and set into their appropriate location.
Performs proper bar top maintenance and busses areas as needed.
Stocks bar (ice, juices, glassware, etc.
) as needed.
Ensures and collects appropriate guest payment for food and beverage service.
Maintains a professional and tidy appearance at all times.
Displays a courteous and friendly attitude to all team members and guest.
Communicates in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests.
Promptly and professionally handles guest issues and communicates problems and concerns to management.
Must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules per business need.
Abide by all Arizona State Liquor Laws Title 4, and Colorado River Indian Tribes Alcohol Beverage Ordinance.
Abide by F & B policies and procedures for Alcohol and Liquor Law Violations.
Abide by Guest Service Agreement for BlueWater Resort & Casino.
Attends and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required.
Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State Health & Safety Regulations, Gaming Regulations, and BlueWater Resort & Casino policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned (job description permitting), or as approved by the Tribal Gaming Agency.

Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
Ability to clearly communicate, read and write in English.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume bar, restaurant or nightclub is required.
In-depth wine and alcohol knowledge preferredMust have a High School Diploma, G.

D.
or related Food Service Job Experience.
Must acquire and maintain a valid C.
R.
I.
T Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Cash Handling, PCI Compliance, Suspicious Activity and other required compliance trainings.
Must be 21 and have a Valid Driver's License.
All employees must obtain a valid gaming license from the CRIT Tribal Gaming Agency prior to beginning work and are required to have license renewed annually.
Must be able to adhere to all BlueWater Resort & Casino and CDC guidelines in regards to the wearing of PPE (including but not limited to a mask and gloves).
Must attend in-house comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting training on COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.
UniformsUniforms will be specific to each outlet.
All hair must be completely contained within the approved health standards.
All hairstyles, body art and piercings must adhere to company policy to meet the needs of the health code and professional standards.

This position regularly works indoors but may work outdoors in cold and/or extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times.
Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public.
The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne practices, including second-hand environmental smoke.
The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members.
The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
